Hi, I’m Kristen.
Here’s something not many people know - I didn’t really want to go to business school. I was far more interested in studying people. For someone who wasn’t especially interested in business, I excelled in school, and I went on to build an impressive resume with Fortune 500 companies and consulting firms.
With two degrees and more than 15 years of experience in business strategy and product development, I’ve developed a profound respect for the world of business innovation. And that’s because my perspective on business has always been to look for and highlight that which makes it human. This showed up when I finally felt at home in courses like consumer behavior, brand culture, and behavioral economics. My work felt most energizing when I found my way to human centered design and the business design discipline. And times spent with my teams are some of my most cherished memories.
My true passion is people - understanding people, leading people, helping them solve problems, making their lives better.
Nothing motivates me quite like talking to a business owner who’s passionate about what they’re doing and the people they serve. Passion for human impact is what inspired me to start Good Busy, and I’m so excited to support businesses like yours on your growth journey!

With over 15 years of experience across many industries and organizational structures in the corporate landscape, I’ve led both in-house and agency teams through product and service strategy, design and development, launch, management, and more.
Here are a few highlights.

In partnership with a vendor, we offered a new financial planning tool to a subset of our clients and prospects. Along with in-house teams, we evaluated funnel and engagement analytics, conducted quantitative and qualitative research, and a competitive landscape to inform our path forward.

Partnering with other product managers, I guided the establishment of the product operating model, and assembled a product team to deliver one of the first digital products in the new model - a guided experience allowing prospects to provide the information required for insurance underwriting. At a legacy organization, this was a major coordination effort, bridging silos and introducing new processes across the organization. A huge win for everyone involved!

Inspired by the resourceful use of refrigerated trucks in one division of a food distribution company, I led an effort to develop a financial and strategic growth plan for an emerging last mile business model that could be applied company-wide. As a bonus, we created an inspiring video capturing the teamwork and coordination that makes it all possible.

As a business designer, I contextualized business challenges and opportunities for companies like Herman Miller and Kay and Zales Jewelers, to ensure our teams’ creative exploration was grounded in strategic direction. We conducted research and developed strong concepts to meet emerging consumer needs. Prototyping and testing allowed us to fine tune concepts for maximum desirability and viability.

I partnered with media, strategy, and creative production teams to plan and execute a national digital and experiential campaign for Scrubbing Bubbles. We ran a sweepstakes with the winners receiving a huge deep clean and refresh of a community space! I also managed several national and global digital media campaigns for other CPG brands, setting new standards for digital media best practices.
